| All kicked off here today.............. |

Woken at about 4.10am this morning by a 2-stroke 'motorbike' revving it's nuts off then banging and shouting. Scared the beejaysus out of me!
Jumped out of bed and opened blinds to see loads of cars massed at house 100 yards away and a couple of plain white vans.
When my brain eventually woke up ten seconds behind my legs I realised it was a 'raid' on house down road. The motorbike was a chainsaw and they opened the front door like a hot-knife through butter.
About 20 armed officers in full military style gear, masks and all were involved and about half piled in screaming blue murder for the person they wanted. Outside the remainder trained guns all over the front of the house (you could see the laser spots like a disco show).
Calmed down a bit and then a couple of minutes later a bloke in cuffs, no shoes or top and wearing trackie bottoms was walked up the road and back into the house. Presume he had done a runner out the back.
Everybody melted away after that and about 10 minutes after it kicked off all was peaceful like nothing had happened.
Jumped to my own conclusions now what it was all about. I mean, two black BMW's, never seemingly at work, what would you think....... 
Not seen anything on news or web about it yet.
Don't expect that sort of thing around her.....sniff

I did video the tail-end of it (after the main 'excitement' ) so trying to upload that now. Says file too big.
I tell you, if it had been my house I'd have probably died of a heart attack, the noise was phenomenal. I know its a disorientating strategy but I'd have  myself

Witnessed something similar a while back near my house - drugs raid, though late at night
I was wandering back from the pub after a few and was told to F*** Off by a copper in an unmarked XR3 when I asked him what was going on

Hopefully he's not out on bail by teatime after some lawyer claims waking him at 4.30 infringed his human rights

It was actually a Escort Cosworth ISTR - and yes, a long time ago - probably about 1996-7 ISTR
Used to be a squad in Greater Manchester called X Squad that drove high performance cars to support drug bust etc - mate (now retired from the force) was in it for a couple of years - claims best job he ever had
