Crankshaft Failure - Another one!

Rattle, rattle, rattle - then everything cut out. Engine now seized. Oh deep joy.
Has anyone had any success with bulletin SSM71816? Are Land Rover replacing engines? Mine had only clocked over 100,000 with regular LR/LR Indy servicing.

Any suggestions, apart from the administration of a jerry can full of petrol and a match?
