LPG quality

One for the LPG V8 owners.

I have an 05 V8 HSE on LPG and valve saver system, there have been lots of comments on the Engine light coming on/staying on when using LPG but here is my observation.

If I use Shell LPG (Autogas) the light will come on sometimes for a few days recently for two weeks. It can be extinguished by returning to petrol for a couple of days.

If I use Asda LPG (marked as Propane on the storage tank) the light may come on for a day or two or never come on at all.

So which is better to not come on or to come on as you know it does not match the expected petrol charatoristics?

Has anyone else noticed these differences in LPG?

I often found when running lpg it was like petrol, some places didn't turn it over as much so it could be in the tank and lines for a while.
Never had running issues when I filled up at morrisons, they did say they often had to have it refilled every other day almost as their price was the lowest in the area and the points system they had made it worthwhile as I got almost £5 a month back from it.

The Jag V8 used in the disco is known for soft seals so the flashlube really needs to be used all the time and possibly dialled in at a higher setting than normally done.
JE engineering wouldn't convert an engine a while back unless you got their head work done as well as they knew the issues well but I think even with the head work they have just stopped doing the conversions on the jag engines.
