Just took the caravan out on the movers to hitch up and the hook's been knicked. I only put it on this morning and some  had it already! Now I have a weekend booked, van ready to hook on and no tow bar. I hate this effing place and would dearly love to have five minutes in a room with the who took it to explain what a he is.

Its bad isn't it? Nothing is sacred. I literally put mine on just as I am about to hook up and take it off immediately the van/trailer is unhitched.

Just to play devils advocate- given the short period between install and disappearance, it did click in correctly and not fall out on the way to the tin tent did it?! Might find it on the road? Or the car behind you got a hell of a fright

That is annoying especially when you have just put it on. You are more than welcome to borrow mine if it helps. I'll be going to Colchester from Kent in the morning so could meet up. D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

As ever, thanks for the support and offers of help. I've managed to pay through the nose for one (£250 second hand) which I picked up within 45 minutes and was back here with tintent hooked up and gone to the site. I keep the van at home so hadn't gone anywhere in the car. Some little has had it but lets hope he gets whats coming to him. I've only just got my D4 new to me 2010. Landrover chucked in a removable towbar... I had one on my last FFRR but never had a key so couldn't get it off.
How are they getting them off if they are locked? Am I missing something? D4 XS Disco 2010, Freelander 2 GS 2009
