AND...

there isn't a crisis in the NHS......Jeremy Hunt total Ostrich with head buried ...where we can all guess.
But to quote the words of successive Tory leaders some who have made it to be PM (& some who failed in the role)
"the NHS is safe with the Conservatives"
ask this who work within for the facts
 BREXIT - done properly.

JC isn't compassionate because he would destroy wealth and make us all poorer. If I were to judge Labour's intentions on it's outcomes I would clearly think them uncompassionate - worse in fact; "They're evil! They want to harm the UK citizens.

...as regards being evil...uncompassionate......(the Labour party that is) they are currently in opposition so have very little control & even less influence - issues that arent conducive to the the common good are the domain of the ruling party aka the Conservatives

Lost for Words wrote:

Labour is no less compassionate, even though they would like to impose damaging, socialist rule on the country that would destroy people's lives. Wink

....what we have is something different...Conservative Rule....looking better with TM - but lets eee if she delivers on BREXIT & the last GE manifesto

Encouraging economic activity that makes us all richer and increasing productivity that raises wages.

If you want to see someone who really would squeeze out every last penny, look no further than the current Labour leadership. "Tax the rich" they say - tax the ordinary man, discourage wealth creation and supress the wages of unskilled workers is what it actually results in...

It am certainly not richer due to those at the top not paying their fair share of tax...

Perhaps I should register my company overseas, and pay a minute amount of tax. That will help our economy Rolling Eyes

Don't be so certain - higher business taxes = less capital investment = lower productivity = lower wages through the whole economy. As well as the effect on wages, the taxes are incident on consumers - buy an iPhone and you are paying your share of Apple's tax bill. Taxes should be raised from consumption rather than catching money that would be invested back into the economy. There are good and bad ways of collecting taxes - Corporation Tax is one of the bad ones.

If you did register your company overseas to avoid tax then yes, it might indeed help our economy. You'd have more money to invest and spend elsewhere. You'd spend it on the things that give you the greatest value. You might expand your business with it - more/better equipment might improve your productivity, you might hire staff, and on better wages. You might well spend the extra money better than the government would because you have information they haven't. You wouldn't have vested interests on which to spend it and you wouldn't encourage resources to be wasted on rent-seeking activities. There are good reasons why money is, on average, better spent by dispersed agents in the market with "local" knowledge and skin in the game than government cronies with little to lose and lobby groups to please.

Thumbs Up

As a constituent of Copeland I'd like to thank Mr Corbyn for his leadership of the protest group formally known as the Labour Party.
Finishing second in yesterday's by-election is quite a remarkable achievement, well done Jeremy. Thumbs Up

All joking aside you would have expected them to stop and check him over. Clearly it was an accident but a little decency from a politician of what ever party wouldn't go amiss.
