She goes next week
So so so
After months, weeks and days of deliberations I never knew it would be this hard to sell /px my dam discovery. It's been like having a trusted pet put asleep! Is it for the best, should I do it......
God it's been hard work. Lot easier to buy a new one than let the old one go. I would have liked to of sold her privately but that was a difficult one, maybe selfish, as didn't want any one else to have her! Like a old girlfriend lol.
But she's off next week to a new home or ' internet auction ' for scavengers. (Feel bad yes)
But I guess this is the usual life for us disco owners. I know all her noises and all her vices. What she likes and what she doesn't.
I've changed every thing that goes wrong, compressor, cam belt, brake pipes, battery, egr valves, wheels, tyres, bottom ends, front diff, disks, pads, callipers, epb, skuttle panels, bellypan, wheel bearings, soft disco 4 steering wheel, beanie grill and vent, the list goes on and on etc just to name a few! But after all this I'm still a lover for this car and found it hard to let her go! Soppy sod.
On the plus side I can't wait to get my new MY16HSE Lux

She's a real looker - someone's going to appreciate all the attention you've lavished on her.
Enjoy your new one

I parted with my D3 last week but it is still in the family as my son bought it from me so I am now going to wait until the new D5 is launched and treat myself seeing I am now retired at 55 with a good pension plus walked away with a golden wheelbarra from the oil industry.D3 TDV6 S MY2005

I did when it stopped working, but with any old Discovery 3 when it stops it gets costly, about £1000 to make it good again! It was great when it worked though! For last few years the front always needed gassing every year.
But deal done, not the greatest PX but done. But will be taking off the discovery 4 rear lights beanie grill and vent and the new LR battery that i fitted 4 weeks ago at £300 ! they will be up for sale soon.

Has anyone bought her that's on Disco 3, would love to know if she is with a member now. She served me so well!
