Reverse camera
Just about to pick up my wife's disco 3 2009 hse which also has built in tv to the satnav system was wondering how easy it is to install a reverse camera

You need a GVIF module on a d3 for the reverse camera. You can cut wires to fool the car into thinking it's a FFRR, but there are other issues with doing that.Bodsys Brake Bible

I went with the HIDS4U option but they didn't have the numberplate mounting option so I used the standard licence plate lighting option (camera replaces a bulb) and found it didn't show the rear of the car (missing about 2 feet between car and scan point) but this was remedied by "altering" the camera housing to point at a better angle to bring the tow ball into view.
Fitting was easy enough with instructions provided.
This was an early 2005 HSE.

I have the number plate light version for reversing but have also installed a camera to see my tow Ball
