I have a cunning plan in that there is a Series Land Rover in my future to be used as an occasional toy, and this will be just the thing to keep it ready to go!Darren

I was planning to buy a series 2a this year for same purpose but they're either too dear or need too much work at moment but still looking Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Yeah, I know what you mean. It brings tears to the eyes when I see the current values compared to when I sold my last one fifteen-odd years ago. I'm not looking for a project though, so I'm expecting to have to stump up some cash Darren

I have a Series 2a in the garage, and when it's not used its permanently hooked to my CTek. No tow electrics needed, it's quicker to open the bonnet! Good luck with the a Series.

I first bought my ctek because I had a RRS as weekend/caravan towcar and was running a FL1 daily - it was easier to plug in socket than remove battery cover etc
I'm down to 1 car now but short trips and weekends standing are caning the battery on DS so I'm using ctek again - removing battery cover is a pita (dropped a plastic cover screw in engine bay last week and had to remove air filter etc to reach it). Now fitted towbar and socket which is easier
If I can find S2a right price/condition I will probably use comfort connection or clips on that battery as access will be easierWanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
