I run 275 65 18 mud tyre federal couriga the space just fits underneath but has to be flat and it's a tight squeeze.
I run lift rods in high settings all the time to stop them rubbing.

Hi,
the 275 65 R18 looks pretty good. But what do you do when your EAS fails and your car falls to it's bump stops and blocks your big tires by the wheel well? Did you fit a bump stop extension kit like this or do you have another solution?
Does anybody knows a shop where we can buy something like this in europe?
Do you have any rubbing? Has anybody fitted this tire size on the stock 18" wheels?
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards
David

I'd also like to know about the bump stop issue -- I am thinking of moving to a 275/55/20 (which is the same size as a 275/65/18).
If you deflate the spare, how do you use it as a spare when needed? Also, does the heat from the exhaust damage the tyre?

I carry a T-max compressor in the car at all times to inflate the spare when needed.
As I said earlier, the clearance once the heat shield is removed is 2-3 inches for a 265/65/18
and I can hold my hand at an inch away from the exhaust pipe with no discomfort so can't see
heat being an issue.
