driving along the other day when low coolant message came up,i put some more coolant in and all was fine till i put my foot down then it came up again then cleared after about 30 mins.
it does the same thing when i put my foot down,checked coolant level again tonight and it was over the correct level,is this a comon fault?

Yes a known issue. The float in the switch sinks. Your dealer should be up to speed on this. A new modified coolant header tank required. Silver TDV6 HSE

Lots of early D3's had a duff sensor in the coolant tank, surprised it's not been done already, dealer will replace under warranty

mine did this and tank replaced.
However after it came out of the dealer I still had to top it up every couple of days until the level stayed where it should be. No leak.......but there was obviously an airlock somewhere in the system. really ought to change this.........

had the same problem, dealer fixed but left a vise grip on the coolant line.
Called much later that day and said "uhh i think we left a tool in your engine bay"
i trust them less and less

my disco was in for fuel sender fault which required a new tank..3 weeks or so i had to wait because of being out of stock..i also had the coolant fault..these are out of stock as well and on back order so im told. TDv6 S 7 seat

Anyone have a TSB for the coolant tank/sensor issue? Ours started playing up this last week and I've not found one for the D3, only for the RRS in my searchs. Permagrin by................. TorqTune

Still in warranty at present Simon - got one service left before then and putting together a list of warranty claims and symptoms I want checked at or before that service Permagrin by................. TorqTune
