think i used a crowbar and a tyre lever its quite hard to get them both in the right place and be able to lever them squarely i think i got into a position so that i could push one lever with my size 13 boot and tension the other side
you dont need lots of force just getting the right tension square worked for me please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

thanks guys its 50 to 120 quid for a forked tool for it, ive plenty of all you mentioned ive had one go at it and gave up and had to cut corners and left it in the diff and put the new shaft in the carrier but it cracks , well i think it does im chasing a klonk/crack when pull away and brake and have done tie rods ARB rubbers, upper wishbones, the bottom i did when i first got it , the drive shaft is all thats left
so ive got to revisit it
