She's a screamer again - going in this Friday to be stripped and reset. Wonder how long it'll last this time Whistle

Anyone ever serviced an EPB themselves yet? If so have you got the destructions. Once our's is out of warrranty later this year I won't be taking it back to the Stealers for this if I can do it myself.

I certainly will be DG, having had a similar conversation with my local dealer yesterday, it was eluded to that some dealers are doing the EPB strip and adjust thing and maybe not claiming from LR for this as lots of these are being denied by the warranty dept @ LR. Rolling Eyes

I've heard the same. LR are only paying for strip and reset in first 12 months.

My observation is that if they accept there may be a problem in the 12 months from factory, they should also accept liability if the problem re-occurs within 12 months of being reset to LR specs.
 Going, going...... Gone!

I agree, I think the fixes that have been done FOC have been at the dealers expense. I think the dealers are on our side with this. If a dealer values your custom, then its in their interest to keep you happy.

Zak from Guy Salmon Thames Ditton just called ..he said that they had carried out the service procedure on the EPB and the good news was that they were only going to charge me £75 Confused . I asked Zak to go back to the management to reconsider given that I would be able to supply multiple names of those who had the issue resolved at no charge.

After 15 minutes Zak called again with 'better news' the management had agreed to absorb the cost as a goodwill gesture. I said that I was grateful, however I felt it extremely unfair that LR Warranty expected either me or the dealer to foot the cost...and I hoped that they would apply whatever pressure they could for LR to resolve this ridiculous issue.

So Bow down to GSTD...but a big Twisted Evil to LR

Good to hear you got the same news as we did from Stratstone's in Cheltenham. They striped and fixed the EPB and there was never a mention of us being charged. Thumbs Up

Screamer one month ago. Replaced everthing. Screamer today and locked. Had to call assistance as the latch was only to get from far behind with a plier and I did'tn have this on board.

Happend now always after going offroad: Has this something to do with?
