guidedog2 - you have two choices.
Either get the dealer to sort it out, as EPB is a warranty fix - if they give you any hassle then try LR Cust Svces
or try another dealer.
I'd also be getting LRA out to take a look and advise exactly what the problem is.
Good luck and keep us posted

Thanks for that James as a woman driving a tank i do feel that the garage in question are taking the mick but anything is worth a try. just a bit concerned that there does appear to have been a bit of aproblem with the early dico 3 park break and that it might cost afortune to get sorted.

My D3 '07 started the screaming thing about a month ago. In the past two weeks locked up and displayed the amber "i" icon with a audible warning. Today happened again and had to switch ignition on and off 3 times before it released.
Did not read the entire thread on this - saw that it is massive so this must be a common problem.
Question : should I get dealer to replace whatever is faulty under warranty (stupid question) or.... hope that it will go away D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr.

Happen to me a week ago, only the cable came loose on the right side. The dealer first try and fix it with the computer, 2 hours later send me on the road with a phone number to call if I get stuck. I remove the wheel and find where the noise is coming from, then take it to the dealer and point out the problem again. Ask them to switch computer off this time.
Please help me, is there no way to increase the speed limit where the Disco lower himself. I want to go on a trip and there are a lot off sand driving involve. Maybe 80-90 km/h.
Must say, this Disco can go offroad, and I like it!

Hi Namlandy, have a look here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic14219.h...ght+sensor
Got my EPB replaced at the dealer last week, they reported that the gearing was stripped. I barely ever use it (maybe 6 or 7 times since ownership), so it doesn't seem all that durable that's for sure I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

That's odd, on our old D3, must have been a MY2005, we had very few problems with the EPB and used it quite a lot!
MY2008 has been very well behaved, and has just been trouble free motoring! Very dirty 1996 Defender 90 - Soon to be mine!

Remind me Mav, when are you old enough to get a driving licence? Carbon footprint? I neither know nor give a damn

Hi Sideview, thanx for all the info. I already ordered new parts so I can modify the old ones. I can not wait for my next trip to Botswana and Caprivi.
Thanx again![/url]
