lesson learnt !!!
Purchased some roof rails and bars from eBay (approx £150 new ) should have spent more.
Original set came through broken, picture 1, a new set received without having to send originals back! Happy days I thought....
After a two weeks holiday and only using them twice, when removing them, they had snapped in the same place as the original ones!!!!

Roof rails
I had similar problems, purchased rails from well known aftermarket supplier. Drivers side went on not to bad although had to widen out some of mounting holes, but passenger side was something else! It had a bend in it. Along with the problem of holes not lining up. Spent lot time over weekend to get passenger side to fit.

That's a pretty poor job, Mike. I wouldn't have wanted to put 50kg on those!

I had one mountain bike on them lucky, I was also supposed to have Bec's bike on them but decided not too.
Have loads of spare parts from the original set though if you interested haha
