TCR4x4's Disco 3 log.
Just back from picking my new Disco 3 up.
Its a 2006 SE Auto in Java Black.
As with my D2 I've owned for the past 6 years, I plan to keep a log of everything that goes wrong, everything I add, change, modify, fix and any other details. I love looking back at my D2 thread on the D2BC forum and seeing how the car has progressed. I'll try add lots of pictures and keep it as updated as I can.
A long term forum car, previously owned by STChris, and then RandomKamakazi.
Its pretty sorted already, with Rock Sliders, remap, amber strobes, DiscoStick FBH controller, hideaway CB, dog guard, load protector etc.
Also came with a BT IID tool, which I will need to learn, as Im used to nanocoms from the D2.
So today I drove home the 40 odd miles home without an issue. Once home, I decided to spruce it up a bit, so got to work with the cleaning products inside. The outside will have to wait until to tomorrow. Still need to wash the mats properly, but CBA getting the jet wash out right now
I treated the seats with some Leather cleaner, wiped the plastics down with Autoglym Rubber care, same for the engine bay, which will need redoing to get rid of all the dust in there, but it looks better than it did.
Also hoovered everything, fitted the Brodit mount, put some other stuff in like a torch, various charging cables and extensions etc.

It was making me sad seeing sat out there all dirty. Its too much hassle to get my power washer out, so I thought Id try the services of the local hand car wash, just down the road. Not perfect by any means, but an improvement.
Tomorrow if the weather is decent Ill give it a better clean and some wax.

Gave it a quick polish today and fitted a CB mic holder.
Just used adhesive pads for now, see if it holds. I'd rather not drill the centre console if I can avoid it.

Looks great
Out of interest; where's you're boot liner from and how is it fitted, I've got a similar mat but our yellow lab gets hair everywhere and I'm sick of vacuuming the sides of the boot and back of the middle row seats!

The boot bag itself is from custom covers on eBay. I'll find a link later. I also have their car seat covers in my disco 2 and their boot liner in my Saab.
Not sure if the tailgate parts are part of it or not as it was in the car when I got it.

Yes and also a few Velcro loops that fasten around the rear headrests.
Here is the link, looks like it does include the tailgate bits too.
