New to a Disco
Hello all, Just purchased today, a few mods planned.
05, 80k miles.
Having read some of the posts, I am expecting lots of adventures / maintenance.
One of the items I am looking for will be to replace steering wheel . Any recommendations ?

Depends how much you want to spend? You thinking heated?

As part of my mods, I am thinking a perforated leather steering wheel. If I could get one circa 150, would be happy.

You should get one for £150 no problem.
Sure you've done the research but I've gone for the detango, D4 rear lights & Grill.
Not to mention V8 brake upgrade, remap etc.
All in good time though...

If you're going to get a nice steering wheel then maybe think about getting the switch packs painted black as well, a simple mod but makes the wheel look so much better.what is this life, if full of care?
we have no time to stand and stare.

D4 Rear Lights , D4 type grill and black lettering in my garage waiting to be fitted.
tinting of rear windows and black alloys also on the list.
dont know if I have the skills or patience to detango , but I like the look, so I will search for a brave soul to do it for me.
Black steps / side bars also on my list.
Will post pics as I progress.

There are several sellers on eBay that will sell you a new wheel only, but you'll have to take the airbag and switch gear off yours and transfer it to the new wheel.
Not sure you will get it all done for £150. Maybe £200 if you DIY.
Have a look at the powerfuluk web site as they sell a lot of bits to modernise the look of the D3. I'm sure there are people on here who can do it for you too.
