AA and RAC are living nightmares, if you ever cancel expect not stop phone calls/messages asking you to rejoin.
When the wife rang them to say we were quitting after something like 15 years they spent an age trying to convince her otherwise saying we have the most agents ect, wife replied we have used you twice in 15 years and both times a 3rd party came out to us, that sort of killed that conversation!

Check out Auto Aid Breakdown. I have been with them for a number of years Roadside repairs, recovery of vehicle and passengers, alternative travel and emergency overnight accom, home breakdown (limited to £65), cover for theft vandalism (if car recovered but cannot be driven), cover for caravan/trailer.
Cost £41.94 for self and wife for both cars - only thing is you pay at the time of the incident and recover from them. Used them twice and got a cheque by return

I swear by Auto-Aid and have used them for many years. You don't even need to pay and then claim back now; it's all sorted by them!
Over a period of 10 years i have used them a number of times without fault.
I'm sure my recently aquired D4 will test them to the max! Current - 2016 Commercial SE
Gone - 2014 Commercial XS
Gone - 2015 SE Tech
Gone - 2000 Td5
Gone - 1990 V8 3 door - What a machine!
