Disco 3 Suspension bushes in Kent or Cleveland
Hi all, Visiting UK from France in early October for 10days or so. Got a definite knock from the front when going over roughish ground (BUT not when braking!) the truck has done 156K Kms and is a 2007 model so definitely overdue for bushes - checked the service history but can see no reference to them ever being changed!!! The vehicle is very clean and from what I can see has never been off road'd). After reading about bushes on this site the opinion seems to be that Superpro (or powerflex?) are the better choice. I could do them here myself but I would be doing them in my garage with not a lot of space and to be fair only a moderate amount of experience plus the fact is that I would have to wait about a week for any delivery of parts (and then I am bound to find I need something else once I start!) SO!
I will be staying with friends in Kent for a few days after which travelling to Middlebrough area.
Can anyone PLEASE recommend an Indie in the Kent or North East who could sort the suspension for me - including fitting the Superpro bushes and then doing the 4 wheel alignment?
Appreciate any help in this matter!

If you can feel the knock through the steering wheel, then it would be worth checking the lower steering column bush first and theeeeennn......???

Disco 3 Suspension bushes in Kent or Cleveland
Hi All,
I'm back in France - Geoff was good enough to do the front lower wishbones - AND the steering rod ends AND the front roll bar bushes (I was convinced I had done the front roll bar bushes in polyurethane about a year ago - when all came to all I had replaced the rear roll bar bushes!!!!! - aAH well its only about 4 metres away!!) - (all the bushes in superpro). Geoff then took me to A mate of his for 4 wheel alignment - just as well he came along - Seems the eccentric wahers and bolts are prone to twisting off the aligning grooves - Geoff jumped in tout de suite - and replaced them. I then discovered my French distributed car is equipped with a space saver wheel!!!! (How on earth can any manufacturer get away with this idiocy? A VW I bought a few years ago came with no spare wheel and a bottle of puncture gunge! NOT much cop when I had a sidewall issue).
How does the car ride - well, 3000 + Kilometers after the repair - the ride is a little harder than the original bushes but it's a little difficult for me to judge since the originals were splitting. Certainly the ride is firm now and rides well.
Anyway - Thank you to all and particular thanks to Geoff - well done!
