Pics of mine, it originally had chrome side tubes and the brackets as you can see are rot, chassis wax wont save them as it wont creep that far between the bracket and the sill, if you look closely as the sill pic you can see the metal has gone flakey, add the two together and in time thats going to be a car killer.
Lots of the pressed drain channels in the lower edge of the sill were full of debris so trapping moisture in the sill right at its most vulnerable point the edges.

Just a question, why bother? The chassis etc will outlast the lifetime most people will keep their Discovery.
I've owned mine 12.5 years since new and my chassis etc is in pretty good condition. It certainly hasn't made me think I should have got it done.
Each to their own I suppose, I have always been a great believer in rustproofing, bear in mind that its not only the chassis that rusts, behind the wheel arch liners there is only a light dusting of primer to keep the rust at bay

I haven't used him, but the guy was well into rust prevention when i had my Td5 and went on the forum. Looks like he has started a business from it.
Thanks Rob
Been looking into getting mine done for a while, so thanks for the link, had earlier found his thread on defender 2 and just joined the forum so I could contact him.
Anyway dropped him an email from above web page and spoke with him today - my 2016 d4 landmark is now booked in for early September.

I'd recommend Chris at CC Automotive.
He did my defender for me and the standard of work was excellent.
He works from home and only does 2 to 3 cars a week but provides great service and attention to detail.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!
As you say, each to their own. I think i'm blessed with a stupidly reliable and rust free car despite it being used for what it was designed for.
School run and ASDA carpark ?
