No worries

The fan control unit is currently being tested on a D3, others types do exist in the market already Thumbs Up

It's an add on unit that the Altox will control, you can say fans start X minutes after FBH etc fully configurable as it's the Altox that triggers its start

Honestly, very soon, I'm chasing weekly, but until they're 100% happy that it's right and ready it will it be released Thumbs Up

No the fan controller is an add on, it will not be an intergrated unit with Altox.

The output controller of the Altix will turn the fans in and off via the fan controller at times or settings you determine Thumbs Up

No need to hang on, get a controller to pre heat the car soonest , wire in the fan unit when available. Thumbs Up

Good to meet you too Greg. Shame it was brief though, but needed to get home to sort kids out as missus was at work and you seemed like you had "stuff" to sort too. Wink

Managed to fit my Altox today, had one issue trying to register the unit with the server to work with the App but found out it was my fault applying the APN settings of the mobile provider. I managed to put a space between the APN and 1 on the first setting, so it is very important to get this right, unlike me! Whistle

To highlight this, when adding APN settings it must be to the letter, like this:

APN1:internet,APN2:login,APN3:password

I'm using a vodafone PAYG SIM I had lying around so my settings were:

APN1:pp.vodafone.co.uk,APN2:wap,APN3:wap

Once I had corrected my mistake, the registration was instant.

This link to the Altox website on how to set the App up was very helpful

Can I ask what size is the sim? Only reason I ask is I will need to be able to remove it every 6 months to put in a phone and make a call. So is it Standard/Micro/Nano

Thumbs Up

Sims I've used have always stayed active as the unit sends a text reply to a few of the commands, such as status etc, texts are normally enough to trigger Thumbs Up
