OK folks, it's taken a while but I got there in the end.
Be gentle with it, I've not had the chance to get it proof-read but wanted to get it 'out here' as winter appears to be approaching fast.
New Version 1.1 here
If you have any questions that the document doesn't answer, or any corrections, please let me know in this thread and I'll update it.
Edit : Updated to new version 1.1
Edit : Added poll Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Thanks SideView - Glad you liked it
Just watching some guys on TLC channel ruining customising a Freelander/LandRover 2, whilst complaining that they should have bought 'the big one' Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Has JMC run out of plates already? I was wondering when he was going to do another much appreciated series of 'I'm only doing this once' group buys
I am investigating whether a group buy for the cable harness would be viable, subject to being able to get the parts in bulk. This will have to wait till I'm back in blighty to investigate tho...so won't be for at least a couple of weeks before I can start looking.
Sideview, I'm almost disgusted to admit that I pretty much liked the end result of that car, though I suspect that the paint colour of orange was what swung me. Was it my imagination or did they not put bigger wheels on it in the end after hollowing out the wheel wells by 3" all round and fitting flared arches? I don't fancy being in it during a roll over though, they only left a 1" piece of steel around that panoramic perspex roof and no roll bars Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Bloomin 'eck. You sure that was a FBH fix or bomb making instructions
Whatever, it is very comprehensive. Thanks for putting that much effort in to help others out. Life is what you make it.

It is a great job, with very nice explanation. Thanks!
Just let you know, that "countrywide" is trying to organize a group-buy for Webasto's own kit for doing the same function (without remote option).
