Door Lock Conundrum

Hello all!

I've got an issue with my RR door actuator that's leaving me scratching my head. I can hear the actuator operating inside the door, but I am still able to open the door from the outside.

I replaced the actuator/latch with a new unit and it worked for a few days, now it's not working again. It won't lock with the key fob or the central door lock button, but I can hear the actuator operating inside the door.

Any ideas?

Faulty actuator Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

On the basis you've already replaced the actuator , I assume with a new one, it's probable that the cables have come off , sounds like Ts working but not moving the lock Thumbs Up

I had to change two on my D3 fiddly job & the one cable did come adrift whilst putting the actuator in but I noticed it thankfully

To close this one out, the actuator was fine, but the interior lock cable was binding and not allowing the door to fully lock. It's all fixed now. Cheers
