Left the farmyard for an hour this afternoon, came back to notice that workmates Defender has been badly attacked with a flat head screwdriver or punch, not long scratches but pin point 'hits'. Parked next to my Disco which we checked and sure enough, same on mine though hasn't dented, just broken the paint. Had the same on my Defender last year Beginning to think its maybe an anti-4x4 brigade member, as other guys 'normal' cars are undamaged.
Why are people such cowards?! Come and talk to me if there's a problem and we may come to an amicable solution, but don't turn to vandalism.

I noticed a wet oily patch on the front undershield. It looked too thin for engine oil and too much for aircon. Took off small shield under near side wing and discovered it was from one of the joins on ATF pipe.
Then embarked on gaining access. Had to remove plastic air deflectors, fan, wheel arch trim, wheel arch shield. Just needed jubilee clip tightened. Looks like I have found source of a transmission fault - low on fluid which has been refilled recently.
Also noticed a clip on a coolant pipe was not over the spigot, so attached it properly.
With so much removed decided to press on and replace the small intercooler hose. Not as difficult as I expected but I did undo the bracket that holds the pipe that goes between the small and medium hose. Whilst there noticed the clip beneath the small hose that goes around large plastic pipe was loose. Tightened.
Taking a break before putting it all back.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I now realise what I thought was a leaky steering rack about a year ago is all ok. It was the ATF dripping onto the boot. Happy days.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Well, at 170.000 km and nice weather it was time to get to work....within 6 hours today I did it.
Auto Box flush als per Filos method. Easy peasy and I got 6 liters of old brownish stuff out of it.
TC Case got a fresh fill of 1,5 liters LR Special oil
Both diffs done
Fuel Filter replaced
MAP Sensor cleaned with break cleaner, not poked in the hole
Engine oil & Filter replaced
Air filter & Pollen Filter replaced
Still to dos:
Break Fluid flush, Front ARBs and the unexpected
And the best, I didn't get hurt like so often in the past

I had towing electrics fitted to the car when I bought it recently, only to find that the spacer not been fitted so I could not secure the 13 pin plug in it!
Bought the required spacer (part no. VSA500110)
and fitted it myself today (wasn't worth the hassle of going back to the dealer)
All done for £3.98!

Finally got around to running some cable into the cabin from the Aux battery. Connected to 4-way 12V 10A socket to feed CB/AM radios and Satnav. Next job is to run 60A cable from Aux battery to boot compartment for ancillary equipment. Dave
