Hi ruben
Sorry just seen your reply
Best way I find is
Use G101 spray and let soak for a min or so wash off with a Hose pipe with a spray head on keeping clear of the battery bay blow off with an airline and let dry then spray with autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care,it comes out white but give it 5mins then wipe over I use a differant product but used to use this method with the same result
Obviously It's much easier if you keep it clean from day one, hope this may help but remember the least amount of water you can use the better Wanted D4s non runners pm for competitive price.

Being new to D3 ownership since late December last year I had only managed fairly short local journeys to date. So it was with a certain amount of trepidation that we set off on what was to be a 1,400 mile journey on our holiday travelling from Scotland to Cornwall, returning via South Wales and up the Welsh coast. We did a similar journey last year in what was then my car a 2 year old Ford Focus and to be honest I never gave vehicle relaibilty a second thought then. However this year having read the many tales of woe and cataclysmic engine failures on this forum doing it in a 9 year old D3 with 96k on the clock gave me a feeling of extreme nervousness to say the least. "Landy" as we call her was as prepared as possible, well serviced, all fluids and oils changed. Belts and oil pump changed. So armed with every service the AA has to offer, fingers crossed all would be ok.
I'm pleased to say in all those miles the old girl never missed a beat and we did the journey and returned home safely yesterday. The level of comfort and smoothness made long hours of driving a pleasure and the vast accomodation made transporting all our parafinaliar including our two dogs etc so easy. So well pleased with Landy and as she's now filthy returnning mud and insect spattered on the outside and what looks like to be half of a Cornish beach on the inside I will be treating her to a good clean and polish this weekend I think and possibly an oil change

Treated myself to a new trolley jack.... I opted for the SGS TJ3 3 Ton garage heavy duty jobby...
It arrived today... what an awesome piece of kit..... incredibly heavy and chunky very well made loving the huge wheels and wide stance... the rubber jacking pad that it came with is like a saucer!
Makes my 3 ton Clarke quick lift look like a toy in comparison
Looking forward to putting it to use at the weekend when I attempt to adjust my EPB
Anyone considering one of these.... then from what I've seen so far, I recommend
SP Mods so far:
New wheel winch
Instrument upgrade (clock on dash)
D4 fascia + Garmin nuvi
LED side light, interior etc
New FL2 rear wheel arch seals
Parrot MKi9200 hands free kit
