There's a new challenge - blindfold round a track
That's the only way I'd driven a D3 before owning my own. Had to drive over pods whilst blindfold in the Land Rover Club inter-club challenge. Still enjoyed it even though I couldn't see what I was driving

Packed up and ready to roll up to Findhorn with the Tintent and four bikes on the roof - bit of rain and hail . won't stop us chilling out till Monday night. Rug rats get out of school at 2.30 and we're off.
Have a great holiday weekend, if you can

Findhorn? and here's me thinking that was a made up place!
Thought that was the town that Winston moved to in Still Game! Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

Will do DSL - one of our favourite sites there. You are fortunate to live up there.

Its been a busy week for the D3, Monday was a trip to London, Tuesday was a 320 mile drive from East London to Gwbert near Cardigan in West Wales, today drove home via Aberystwyth, Machyntllech, Bala, Chester. No issues, but the average fuel consumption has risen (fallen?) to 25.2 mpg Silver TDV6 HSE

Been in London again this week. Last nights cruise back home was soooooperb - left Central London at 4.30pm - got to the M40/M25 junction by 5.30pm (usual 1 hour escape) - then stuck the cruise on at 80mph and apart from the 50/60mph stretch on M42 held it at that ALL the way up North on M40 / M6 / M6 / M56 - arrived home at 8.15pm - 2 hrs 45 minutes Steve N (qzd)

Did you go out via the A4 Steve ?
I left the West End at the same time and got hammered by the A40 - queued nearly up to Northholt
Should have gone through Kensington as per usual

A4 and A40 are always a nightmare - I get on the A40 at the old M41 junction and just crawl up the A40 towards Hangar Lane and on to Uxbridge and the M40. ALWAYS takes an hour from Westminster/Lambeth to the M25/M40 junction - my two YouTube urban videos are run at 4x speed and last exactly 15 minutes
Did see one shiney D3 in the queue - don't think it was you though SImon Steve N (qzd)

I installed some driving lights on a new ECB (East Coast Bullbars) nudge bar...
I had a set of these Lightforce XGT 240's on my D2 and they were fantastic, with a combo spread/pencil lens - I'm going with just a pencil beam/spotlight now, as the the bi-xenon HID's on the D3 are so good for general vision anyway, but I just always felt that they didn't throw the light far enough down the outback roads.
If you're going to have driving lights, then you might as well make a statement, I always say...
cheers,
