Hey, I'm still defrosting by the fire and a lunch to eat!
Maps fully updated from 2013 to 2017, with no issues or hiccups. Of course, I have 'spent' a few hours of the 2017 maps just loading them.
Still does not know where Victoria Gate is in Leeds though.

Map version?
So when I bought MY13 D4 in November I ask the LR Main Dealer to update the maps. They said they were the latest version which is BS in my opinion.
How do I check which version is on the car?

Robbie,
I am glad yours worked.
When i did mine it got to 80% and failed saying error on the disc.
Tried again. Got new copy of the software. Still same issue.
It has now been in with LR for a week. (Got a little CR**y Evoque as a loaner)
They have escalated to Main LR as they cannot fix it.

2010/11 updates are via dealer only - costs around £200. They are now on to update number two. Because they are HDD system and no USB connection!LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

I just use google maps now on my phone in a Brodit. With all the new roads going in around here, and all the new "garden villages" around the country, I really don't see the point in vehicle based nav systems anymore.

For the OP, how did you keep the ignition on during the whole process? Could this be done while driving (e.g. during some longer route)?

Interesting thread on lr2 forum were one of our Australian friends says it's possible on the my13 freelander to also use a map disc to upgrade the map,as the disco my12 also uses a similar system would it be a cheaper and easier alternative?
