At £5,100 for the engine, a couple of £k for fitting minimum, plus £3,200 to get Old Bluie back to my drive from NW Norway, then no idea what to get the car up to DM, for me the economics made for an easy decision. She was prob worth £3k on a good day. Ok, cost me a bit to go up to get all my gear and strip her but prob made more from the parts than I'd have got from someone to take her away as a non runner.

What would the labour costs be on top of the full engine from LR?

Book time is 22hrs IIRC. Realistically, allow a weeks work to cover things like brake pipes, suspension bushes etc, while it's all apartMy D3 Build Thread
