This one goes to DG. When we were heading to Fes on the dodgy mountain roads. The locals have absolutely no issues with overtaking on tight blind bends, junctions in fact anywhere. If they approach a vehicle going the same direction they simply overtake it as they get to it. As you can imagine one has to be on guard at all times as you never know what is round the next corner. For instance on one occasion we were heading down a mountain pass with some tight bends and as we slowed down to take a tight left hander we narrowly missed an on coming bus that was overtaking a small truck.
Anyway the comment that DG said over the radio after a 'close one'.
"Fooking ell that was close If someone had pushed a piece of coal up my ass, I'd have turned it into a diamond by now"
I cried with laughter for ages

Oh DG, what a character!
Would that be considered a man-made diamond? I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Aren't diamonds meant to be ON a ring, not up one? Don't Panic! Everything will be fine.... inflation is only 2.5% 3.0% 3.3% and the flying pigs are carbon neutral

Don't you be offering your deep gorge around. People will get the wrong idea. Don't Panic! Everything will be fine.... inflation is only 2.5% 3.0% 3.3% and the flying pigs are carbon neutral

So, when DG is chefing, if he ever offers you some of his 'carrots'.....
Decline, politely.......
Apparently though, his special source is very, very good. "All hail the mighty Quattro"
