I'm planning on getting my oil pump changed soon.
Is there anybody around the Northamptonshire area that offers the fitting of these ?
Also, anybody local that knows these cars that would have a look over my recent purchase

I have the front aux belt off as well as the fan etc. How much more do I have to peel back to see the oil pump. Even just for a glimpse of the weak spot?

I have an 06 D3 HSE with 106k on the clock. All belts etc were changed at the appropriate time but the oil pump was not changed. I've had no problems so far to speak of except that I am aware that the oil light takes a little time to go out on start up. The question is whether I have the oil pump replaced and if so what is the going rate? My Indi, who did my belts, is talking about £900 to do the job. Do I look elsewhere or bite the bullet?

£700 sounds a lot, much more than I paid a couple of years ago.
Come what may I would get the oil pump changed for peace of mind if nothing else.

Thats way over the top for the Oil pump change.. you would need a new front belt kit and Oil pump should be around £550 to £600.00.
