Unless you can verify that it already has the stronger type pump fitted, then you definately should change it now, to avoid much expense and misery. D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

Well it was when I did mine last year, but it may have been superceded I suppose. As you may have seen, the LR part is now quite expensive whereas EXACTLY the same part ( p/no. 1001G2 )supplied by a Citroen dealer is more reasonable. Don't waste your money on any aftermarket( Britpart, Bearmach or any other obscure make) oil pump assy's, as the crank oil seal has been known to migrate out of them, meaning doing it all again ...... (if it doesn't wreck your engine first, through total oil loss ) .
