Replaced like for like - one of these taken from interweb (although mine doesn't have 'Range Rover' on the Chrome strip)
'rubber' skin had lifted (on both of my keys) so ordered the spare part (number in previous post), removed the circuit board from the old key, put it in the new shell, put the same chrome end piece on, job done.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

No cutting or glueing required.
Take apart like you would to change the battery.
The circuit board is held in place by two small plastic posts sticking up from the case. On the original fob these have had the top slightly melted to form a blob which holds the board in place. Carefully lever the board next to the blob and it'll pop off the post. Lever one then the other.
Should the post break off, as they are very thin, then just pull it out of the board once it's out of the case. This gives you two holes in the board to aligne to the new posts on the new case.
I never bother melting the posts again, as the two halves of the fob hold it in place, which just snap together.
I've made it sound complicated, but it's dead easy

Steve
I followed Steve guide and it really is a piece of to change it.
There are also 2 options to the new cover - Matt or gloss. I think D4=Matt and RRS=gloss.
