Stereo wiring
Hi Guys new to this site. Can any one help me I've just fitted an after market stereo but I'm having problems with finding the correct way to wire it up I have power to it. I've had to wire to get power from the cig lighter to power down when I switch of the key but I'm losing the memory. Thanks in advance

Sorry taking so long to reply back. So the little plug does not really do nothing on the standard steep then as mine has not got the phone kit in that's why I brought a blue tooth sony one.

correct.
if your replacing the head unit, you don't need the smaller plug

The thick purple/blue wire in the right of the picture should be used as a battery + for memeory.
I have fitted the yellow wire (on right) which is from the cigar lighter, so it comes on/off with the ignition.
You will have lots of green wires for speakers
