Fuel rail pressure sensor can it be changed on its own
Getting this fault code come up. It only happens intermittently and only when I switch the ignition on. I looked at the Haynes manual anf it says it can't be repaired in its own. Any ideas?
P0191-24 (2C) Fuel rail pressure sensor range/performance - General signal failure - signal stays high
So can I change it on its own?

If I recall the HPF sensor is part of the HPF pump, and cant be changed on its own.

Thanks Al
Just checking the numbers on the recall below and mine sits within. Do you think they would still replace the fuel pump so long after
Recall Ref: R/2009/051
Exact Model: Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport
Description: FUEL MAY LEAK
VIN: SALLAAA137A412125 to SALLAAA177A424188
Build Date: 1 September 2006 to 30 November 2006
Numbers: 13275
Defect: Fuel may leak from the fuel pump front bearing which could lead to poor performance, smell of fuel, fuel leakage at the rear of the engine, fuel leak onto the ground and in the worse case fire.
Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the high pressure fuel pump, drive belt, belt tensioner, the high pressure fuel lines and the fuel filter.
Launch Date: 28 September 2009

If it was a recall then I guess there's no harm in asking
