Headunit no sound, Sat Nav not working, Bluetooth not workin
Hi All.
New to all this so i'll keep my waffle to a minimum
I bought a 55 plate disco 3 se 2 weeks back and was fitted with an aftermarket sat nav kenwood head unit. the trade seller fitted the original harmon kardon one back in (as was left in the boot unconnected) but no sound and the sat nav screen just shows the landrover crest. The car doesn't have blu.etooth controls on steering wheel but does have the phone symbol on stereo (not sure how good would be when using).
I would rather get the standard stereo and sat nav working as i know its the Harmon Kardon one 6cd-465.
i thought they may not have re-wired the amp back in but they have correctly. An audio shop looked into it and said there was no reading from the amp so definately a new one would fix, i have swapped over today with a 2nd hand working one and is still the same.
Any ideas what the issue could be?
Thanks
Dan

The car infotainment system has a fibre optic loop connecting all modules ( head unit / amp / sat nav /TV to name a few )
If one is disconnected or faulty all the rest stop working ( logo on the screen and no audio )
Unfortunately the phone button is standard on the head unit .. if you don't have any phone buttons on the right of the steering wheel , you won't have Bluetooth
You'll need to check the wiring is all present and correctly fitted for startersG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

thanks Wiggs
I read someone say they had a clip that bridges the fibre optic connection at a point and wondered if you can buy these to help diagnose.
Also i understand there are some connections in the boot? think i need to check amp, head unit, sat nav and dvd player connections.
are there any more to check?
Thanks

Most loop available on eBay .. few £ from China .. more from UK
Youll probably have TMC module in rear drivers side as well
The red fibre optic light is generated from the head unit .. so I would be checking that first .. just disconnect the most connector and power up the head unit and see if there is a red light outputG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
