Unfortunately we have to have it as we have coved ceilings on the exterior walls so need the line between the wall and ceiling. Otherwise I think I would have ripped the things off myself
I've quite impressed myself actually not bad for a management consultant D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Nice Job.
Management consultant, it shows, you used two bits of wood where one would have done, you used two methods of fixing them together where one would have done and you used the wrong tools (metal working vice instead of wood working one, crosscut instead of a ripsaw). ==================================

No, I'd see it differently.
I combined two existing resources into one new role to avoid having to obtain a third, new one.
I built in contingency into the fixing process in case of failure.
I adapted existing tooling and changed its application, accepting reduced performance, to avoid increasing capital expenditure on new ones.

Maybe .....but you did forget the H&S bit where by seeing the end game you could have injured yourself executing the solution (others to add commentary) so adding to burden of the process by costing more in the end! D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
