You may recall I already did this on another thread, but you preferred the original
[& J77 thought it looked pants, preferring the original too]. Confused

But suppose looking 'pants' isn't a bad thing .. as it has been described by others as sporting a 'nappy'. Laughing

May I steal your mock up photo and post it on twitter to Land Rover ? Rolling with laughter

I think it needs the 'freshly filled nappy' bumper to be removed before LR use it for the redesign.

Having seen the original vehicle in camo, it lost the horrid-ness of the rear bumper arrangement so it may be that this can be disguised by a change in materials...

If they bring out a Commercial (hopefully later this year), I may have to look at costs for a vehicle wrap to hide the ar$e end...

Not really, thats why I'm thinking SVO could be used as a get out of jail for LR to add some features back like a different tailgate arrangement. If the new customers coming from BMW and Merc love the new design they will stick with it. If they want to reach out to some existing customer base then a £4k SVO pack adding back some utility sitting along side the £4k Dynamic pack would in my view be a good move.

Yes - when they offer the Commercial as this would be the only 'van' on offer from JLR.

I don't really need the seating capacity, but I do need the load-lugging and towing capabilities and am in the fortunate position of being able to enjoy a slightly better working environment than having to endure a double cab which is why the last two vehicles have been Commercials.

Unfortunately, ugly or not, if this is the only option from JLR, then I also have to consider how to make it worth living with... to be honest, it's purely that rear end; I can even cope with the one piece rear door (I think...)

The tax status of the Commercial is an enormas draw - the difference between having a company car (and the associated tax bill to include private mileage) and a van is around £750 per month!

Shocked Shocked

Until Gerry McGovern is moved on, we will need to simply get used to whatever Gerry McGovern wants.
