Sat Nav Curious Behaviour.
I only really use my Sat Nav in Europe but went to Worthing last weekend and used it just to see if it was still working.
Set off at Junction 18 on the M25 and the Nav decided to send me off at Junction 10 only to have me faff around a bit and then rejoin the M25 at Junction 8 Off again at Junction 7 to follow the M23 to Brighton.
I didn't think the system had traffic alerts and if it has it got it wrong because the M25 was flowing freely. I didn't think via the M23 was a particularly good choice either.
It's left me a bit worried when I use it blind in Europe.
Anybody else had similar?Discovery 4 HSE

I have a 2015 D4 and when I drive to Gatwick I use the A303/M3/M25/M23 but sometimes my sat nav decides to send me via Guildford, Farnborough, Aldershot and allsorts of other devious routes.
As far as I can make out it is to do with traffic alerts or road works.
I did ignore it once on my way to Gatwick and stuck to the route I usually use and low and behold traffic jam ahead on the M3 and then when I finally got to the M25 more traffic and I missed my flight

Being local to worthing i have the sat nav on for longer journeys never rely upon them though. It does to have a bit of preference towards the M23 for some reason. I would go down as far as hand cross then lower beeding, cowfold, A272 and straight down the a24.
My understanding is its meant to learn your route preference after ignoring her route 3 times. I have this finction switched on and on one particular route to Northamptonshire which i have gone umpteen times she still refuses to accept i know better! Now with: Tow bar & storage, Xenon's, Remote Timed Climate, Mood Lighting, Cubby Fridge, DRL's & Mud Flaps
Accessories: Rubber Mats, Spare Wheel Cover, LR Tyre Pressure Gauge, Warning Triangle, LED's throughout & Leather Gear Selector Top
Further Planned retrofits: 13 pin Tow Electrics & Heated Steering Wheel

Used to have massive problems with my old D3 sat nav as it looks like the kids set our home address to somewhere in Belgium..... Every time would try and take us to the channel....
Anyway - found the D4 fine, however did chuckle when I saw this and had to get the Mrs to take a picture... (nb cruising along nicely at motorway speed - ready to jump on the A11 dual carriageway)
