You could press the P> button on the dash to turn them off.

Try hitching up the caravan when the cars engine isn't running and the ignition is off, see if it makes any difference Thumbs Up If I hitch mine up with the engine running, the parking sensors go off, according to my local dealer its a safety feature on the newer D4's.

Another thing to try is making sure the doors are all closed when you start it. Worked for me on my MY13.

Don't know when the change was but on the MY16 if you go into camera settings you can turn the sensors off and also the guide lines, but this can only be done if you have the facility to have the camera working at speed. With an IID Tool you can make a couple of adjustments which help, but again only if you can access the camera in the settings in the screen.

As your Schooner has LEDs, it could be that there isn't sufficient draw on the lighting circuit for the car to realise that a trailer has been hooked up.

When you indicate, do you get the trailer tell-tale on the dashboard?

If not, then it's an issue with the LEDs that the Disco can't cope with. Your caravan dealer may be able to advise but I know that with Swift, Sargent Electrical produce this adaptor that is permanently fitted to the caravan to increase the load on the lighting circuit.
