Help needed AMK Compressor
Hi All, had an issue with a dry connection on the power feed plug that connects to the AMK Compressor motor and it's resulted in a slightly molten plug. Now, once I managed to get the plug disconnected I tested the motor and all is fine but the plug is now caput. What I'm hoping is that one of you guys has a wiring diagram incorporating the AMK compressor that can give me the plug I.D on the short lead from the motor to the line plug n socket. The section of loom is probable about 10inch long and is the last section of power cable where if meets the motor itself. Or matbe someone might know the part number for that lead.
Any help would be grately received.
Cheers
Paul

Hi
Plus 1 what prof g says ref make model etc , always helps if u fill in ur profile
If it’s a D3 , the only one I can find is on the main loom side , just a thought if all else fails could u cut off both connectors and fit some 2 x way non oem ones , ie something like Anderson connectors
Also I’m pretty sure the AMK and hitachi use the same 12v feed connectors

Also AMk themselves may supply the connector seeing it’s on the compressor side

AMK
Sorry guys, thought I'd included the usual stuff.
Cars an 06 D3 SE, which had the Hitachi unit but I upgraded to the AMK smetime ago.
Thanks for the steer to the AMK site.
Yhe difference between the Hitachichi and the AMK is that the Hitachi is hardwired into the motor and the plug/socket is on the loom. The AMK has the loom socket/plug but also has a plug/socket on ghe motor body.
If you look at the photo on the AMK website link you can see the short kead in the bottom right hand corner.
Thanks again, I'll bell AMK in the morning.

Just in case AMK draw a blank does any one have a wiring diagram which contains an AMK compressor, it may sctually identify the plug and I can approach JLR and see if I can source it via that route.
The lead is actually supplied with the AMK compressor but I believe it is identified on the wiring diagram.

Here is the diagram for the 04 - 06 vehicles but it does not differentiate between AMK & Hitachi as they are interchangeable components, and neither does the later MY08 diagrams.
If the plug/lead on the motor is damaged your best bet as GS suggested may well be to make up a new loom if the fly lead can't be sourced. Alternatively you could post a request to ask if anyone has an old AMK lying about!
