Wanted: exhaust cross over pipe, don't mind at all if it's cracked as I want to replace the flexy joints anyway.
Will happily collect or pay postage + site donation.
As previously discussed mine is coming off on Tuesday.

I'll happily take more than one, I intend to make a jig to do the repair... prototyping and all that. Plus if I can make a few from that it might help out other forum members. Jarrod

Until I get my hands on one I have no idea if it's feasible but I believe that looking at the pictures the standard item is prone to failure so if a modification can be made by use of a home made jig then I could do them on an exchange basis for forum members etc.Jarrod

I have a split one here in the skip you are welcome to.
It took out the injection pump belt and tensioner after melting the casing.

Out of interest does anyone have a part number for the bracket ? I've looked and mine is missing so I guess that's why mine has cracked. I've definitely bought a lemon. Either the box or engine has been out at some point. I don't think there's a bolt under the bonnet or under the car without "witness" marks caused by tools. Dads opinion "that's why the mileage is low.... it's been off the road broken for ages" Jarrod

So far going amazingly well considering whatever absolute muppet has been working on the car has left so many parts off that half the job has been done for me
So far I have encountered the near side egr bracket sat with its bolt under the battery tray...
One of the studs on the offside crossover pipe flange is sheared off. Can't wait to try and get that out ! Various brackets missing, a nut missing off the exhaust downpipe.... and I've had to stop for today because I need a flex end 8mm ratchet spanner to get the near side heat shield off which I don't have yet. Halfords here we come.
Oh and all the egr pipework clamp flanges are covered in soot so it looks like they are leaking badly. I'm considering leaving the whole egr valve and cooler crap off blanking at the turbo etc and then getting the software patch done. Is that the best way of doing it ?Jarrod

Big thank you to trailhound and steve Norman for sending me their broken cross over pipes. I'll get to making a jig up this week and detailing a repair when the new flexy sections come from eBay.
I've still failed to remove my own due to 2 of the nuts being rounded on the turbo side. I've learned that just swearing loudly at it seems to make no difference to loosening the nuts off. Very strange. I've ordered a set of Irwin nut removers so we'll see how that goes. Failing that it will be a dremel. I've yet to even try the top nut turbo side.
Anyone whose got old cross over pipes laying around I'd love to take them off you. I'll be recycling them and upgrading the flexi sections and heat protection, the first ones will be made available to forum members obviously I'll be abiding by any rules of the forum for this. Jarrod
