[For Sale] D3 V8 E-diff, Compomotives, 33" tyres, winch, Brembo's etc

Selling my much loved and extremely rare D3 V8.

V8's are rare enough but to find one with the electronic locking rear diff is pretty much impossible. Not to mention one that hasnt been run on LPG, is in great condition and comes with a load of kit.

I will give the best description i can but without doubt i will miss things!

2005 Discovery 3 HSE V8
102500 miles.
4.4 V8 (Never run on LPG.)
Zambezi Silver (Bodywork in great condition but a couple of very insignificant marks here and there.)
Black leather interior. (Very good condition for age.)
Electronic locking rear diff.
Rear climate.
Sat nav updated to 2016.
Privacy glass.
Centre console fridge.
Xenon Adaptive headlights.
Removable tow bar and 7 pin electrics.
And i think the rest is the usual HSE spec.

Extra's and Modifications,
Brembo brakes installed on front. These were refurbished the end of last year along with discs and pads all round.
Compomotive wheels in black including a spare. Very desirable wheels!
Cooper ST MAXX tyres in 275 70 R18. Huge 33" tyres which required various mods to install but they are amazing tyres! And very quiet.
Prospeed adjustable lift rods.
Steel tree sliders.
Hidden front winch kit including, Superwinch Talon 12.5 winch (just been overhauled and serviced), Remote controls, New superwinch cable and hook, New Warn fairlead.
New PIAA wiper blades.
Uncle Ray's front sump guard.
Front and rear light guards.
Genuine LR RAI.
K&N air filter.
LED bulbs all round.
Genuine LR gloss black door handles.
Silver and black LR badges.
Gloss black lettering.

Maintenance and repairs,

Very good service history and maintenance has been done by myself to the highest standard since my ownership. (Certified Automotive Engineer)
The car was always under 10k miles a year but oil changes have been done regardless every year. Oil has always been very clean at changes.
Diff oils and transfer box were done last year with spark plugs.
Gearbox oil and filter was done in April this year.
All oils used have been Millers Nanodrive which is the best you can buy. Along with genuine LR filters.
MOT was done in April. Had some issues with emissions which turned out to be damaged cats. New ones have been fitted along with 4x new o2 sensors.
Rear upper arms were also done and rear ARB bushes and HD drop links.
Brake fluid was replaced last year when the brakes were done with genuine LR fluid.

Other things that have been changed in the last year simply for preventative reasons,
Alternator. (Genuine Denso)
Airflow meter. (Genuine Denso)
Water pump tensioners and belts. (Genuine LR)


Absolutely everything works on the car. Its in great condition and im pretty sure there isnt another like this out there. The V8 is the nicest engine i have had in any car and is a work of art! So smooth!

I will be honest and although it looks the part i dont actually use it offroad! It sits on my lock block driveway! Embarassed But its what i like and it looks the part so why not! Very Happy

Private reg will be removed.

Stunning looking machine, I'm looking at upgrading from my D2 and like the spec of this

Can I ask how much mods did it require to fit the bigger tyres? And can it be easily removed /reversed if standard wheels are refitted

What did it tow like before the bigger tyres?

What does it tow like now with the bigger tyres?

Just asking as I've read that the auto boxes can sometimes struggle to drop into sixth when towing and was thinking that the problem might be even worse when running the bigger tyre combo

Hi Rob,

It can easily be put back to run standard wheels. The biggest part was relocating the rear heater hoses to run over the chassis instead of in the wheel arches. The rest was mostly just triming plastic on the front bumper.

I towed my car trailer so a decent weight on it and it was great. On smaller B roads sometimes it will sit in 5th where it could be in 6th if its not up to speed but i just manually put it in 6th.
I dont think i have noticed any difference to be honest.
