Why do we have a certain percentage of people who really hate to see others who are trying to be successful and trying to better themselves?
My daughter came out to her car having been keyed by some mindless moron this morning.
Why? Why do they do this? Why do some people just despise others who work hard and try to forge a better life for themselves?
I know there are bigger issues in the world but this sort of mindless act really me right off!! Mods:

You've said the reason already, because they are morons. They always blame things on anything they can't control like luck, childhood etc. Hope your daughter can get it sorted easily. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Don't know it's jealousy, I tend to think they are having a s t life and for a millisecond, causing someone grief makes them feel good.
I remember when SWMBO worked in A&E, staff had to park in the adjacent hospital car park. Too often she'd knock off and find her motor scratched. I used to find it ironic that there she was putting people together again and these same people were probably responsible for the damage.

some estimated that some 40% of world population is brainless ....whoever done it must have been some chavtastic who is envious of your daughters possessions but does not compute that she is working her ass off to get those things with lots of sacrifice of her time, efforts, strength and health
....and he is still sitting on the council sofa in council flat smoking fags and drinking cheap beer being frustrated as but still too lazy to move his ass and change for himself
ban benefits!!!

My brother had the same thing, he lived in the same street for 5 years driving a crap car. The VERY day he got a new job and a brand new company car (nothing flash, just a mondeo) someone keyed his car and his car only.
Very sad individuals.

My Jag XKR's all got damaged, never the whole flank but individual panels on every one of them (four of them over a couple of years).
Door dinks the same - can't prove it but given my OCD when parking all my Jag's and RR's go back with a couple of dings yet SWMBO's Fords never have anything on them (and she just 'dumps' the car in car parks).
I think it is that jealous mentality of "rich can afford it" type thinking or "it's only a company car"
I'll test the theory with SWMBO's car as she's going back into JLR product with a Disco' Sport in next month or so

Vandals, I knew who was responsible? |
|
Sorry about this bad luck but do not end up taking action yourself if you find the lowlife! It must have been quite sickening, I know when it happened to me once I could not believe it and I had just polished what was then my pride and joy. Again only my car in the road keyed.
Sometime after that then woken one night by son who shouted that someone messing with the car. Went down to find in HP or similar sauce on the bonnet of my car and two neighbours cars. Common denominator was we all had big dogs! Just mindless vandalism.
I gave the police a registration ( now that was good luck) and even spotted the moron the next day at the station platform an absolutely unmistakeable person. The police said they would speak to them they were well known Animal Rights activists but I love my pets! I would only join the F***WIT club if I sought retribution at least doing what was going through my mind. Just do not go there!!!
Even though I know with a level of certainty who was responsible my resolve to remain above the senseless vandalism has meant I have had to have put up with 2 no RSPCA visits + 2 no animal welfare charity enquiries. Finally nailed the with CCTV evidence and the police acted their warning meant "she" had to cross the road to walk past my house. This has not stopped her getting others to call RSPCA for a third visit.
Overall try and get her to move on. D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

Its as simple as they are not clever enough to think some of the people with nice things have worked long and hard for them and paid for them all by themselves and not with handouts.
Of course some people get it on a silver platter but even then good luck to them because we and the idiots would do the same in their shoes.
After all if someone didnt buy all the new expensive cars what would the majority of us drive or aspire to?

Thanks for the advice but it's not really needed.
There is no chance of ever finding out who is responsible and I've no intention of coming down to that same level looking for retribution.
I will never understand the mentality of such an act when for many years I have believed, and instilled in my own kids, that if you work hard and aim for something, it is always achievable and Im not prepared to allow some mindless moron to cloud that belief even if they are sick with jealousy at the extent of that hard work.
