+1 I'm certainly no prude, but if you look at some of the language used on other LR forums, do we really need or want that on here ? We all know what means, do we really need to see its spelt out ?
My Grandchildren are here on a regular basis using my computers and I normally leave the forum tab open and they have been known to have a look I certainly don't want them reading a thread full of words

Just because you can say what you like on Facebook or other forums doesn't mean that I am going to allow it here.
This is intended as a family friendly forum, one I am happy for my kids to view sat on my knee. Nearly 13 years on and actually having children now, that still applies.
Family friendly establishments exist in "real life", just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it should be lawless and free for all. Different places, different behaviours.
So that's the reason for the face policy.
The "top chap" issue was a replacement that was put in place a long time ago when there was a few hours' fun of trying to work around the censoring. I've only recently remembered to put the back in place. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I don't mind the as it does pick up the occasional slips of the keyboard when fingers are faster than brain. We all swear in one way or another but doing so publicly isn't really necessary to get the message across.
Bit concerned to hear that children might be running around in here. Is nowhere safe from the little ?
