Slight flat spot or accelerator delay on 2300-2400 rpm
Occasionally, not always, I feel a sort of flat spot or slight accelerator delay on 2300-2400 rpm.
It feels more perceptible in high gears (IV, V and VI).
Some idea? Do I have to control aught?Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

I've just learnt to prepare for it now and know when to expect it. And not to panic when overtaking. D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

apologies if this is patronising but check that you're not catching edge of your brake pedal ... previous D4 had some setting (which current doesn't) that prevented you accelerating if brake pedal moved even a few millimetres..

I've not noticed it on new D4 ... but we have the "benefit" of most of the motorways round here having 50mph limits.
on the previous one it was mainly when I pulled out of junctions that it lacked power for a split-second (but enough to be worrying ) until I worked out it was the brake pedal issue.
only needed the slightest of touches ...
the marks on the sole of my shoe are from new car, so it's still happening but doesn't stop acceleration so I can only assume it's an option ?.

What fuel are you using? We have normal diesel and premium diesel here. The difference is not massive, but I do notice a tendency to change down then accelerate on the cheaper diesel, instead of just accelerate on the torque of the engine which seems easier to achieve on the premium stuff.
I have to be honest though, I've never thought my D4 to be lacking in power or having a flat spot at any point.
