Never removed the sump guard when our D3 was in getting re-gassed.

i always thought the high and low connectors were as u look at the engine on the right hand , under the heat shield

haven't heard about having to remove a sump guard , unless he means heat shield

got to also find out myself and do mine , been thinking of either putting it into a garage or buying an aircon kit

hopefully someone with the expertise will be along to tell u where the connectors are and what needs to come off

sorry that's not much help to u is it, lol

The two valves are under the bonnet on the passenger side (LHS sitting in the car, RHS looking under the bonnet) at the top between the battery box and the engine

I had 2 faults showing on my IID and both related to the Air Con.
Took a punt and booked it into Kwik Fit 2 weeks ago as they are still doing the £49 service and if they can't reduce the inside temp due to leaks you don't pay.
Took 45 mins and I have to say it has made a fantastic difference.
Didn't get the expected you need this and that from them, just a good service.
Both faults now gone.
