I'd have anything to avoid buying a D5!

That's great! Still considering changing it? Or content with it again now?

Still looking at the possibility.
For the money that's being asked for 12-18 month old used FFRR's, I've yet to be sufficiently impressed by the condition that they've been in, or the spec they've had. The D4 HSE-L is a tough act to follow! There was (still is) a good looking one at Southend, but the condition of what I've seen doesn't give me enough confidence to buy unseen, or even take the 600+ mile round trip to see it.
Still working on the man maths to see if a new one could be affordable. If that fails, I now have a level of confidence re-building in the Disco Thumbs Up

After having complained to LR about the way this was handled they made me a very generous offer on an AVC (LR speak for Assisted Vehicle Change) to buy a new car from them Thumbs Up It's an offer that's too good to ignore - thank you LR, it's done a lot to restore faith Very Happy

So, it will be a very sad day when the D4 goes (in late September/early October), but I will now have the opportunity to test their latest fix (2,500 miles so far, with another 7-8,000 to add my the time that it goes). But, a nice new D5 will take it's place....

Shocked

Nah! Only kidding!! Laughing

I will be sticking with something with a split tailgate though Wink Very Happy Thumbs Up

Ah, was it that obvious?! Very Happy

It was unbelievably easy to drive off road and that V8 is lightening quick on the tarmac; motorcycle quick! Thumbs Up

It's a lot more car like than the D4 though, I'll miss the feeling that I'm in a "proper" Land Rover.
