Well, I had my lower front arms replaced finally today. Fitted the Mehle ones from AF and very pleased. No more clonking over bumps and particularly on braking. Always got a clonk/judder when braking lightly, started affected my driving !
Anyway, my Indi had checked out the original arms earlier and only detected a small amount of play but i went for a full replacement anyway. On checking the old arms, the front bushes were still good and firm but the rear ones when wiggled were clearly very soft and more to the point you could see perishing in the rubber and a good wiggle revealed the rubber splitting. definitely a job needed
