When I suffered from a bout of proper Yorkshire, i.e. Tight with water because we were on a meter, I used watering cans with the rose removed to rinse off with. Only took a couple of fills.

After we had the last hose pipe ban I know of someone who washed his car using twenty five buckets of water, after the ban I washed mine with the Karcher I had at the time with a inline water meter on the hose, (used when topping up the pond) whole car washed using twenty seven litres.

I'm pretty sure I got an attachment with my Karcher to allow it to use water from a container rather than a hose supply
Perhaps you can get something similar for your pressure washer?

Try this stuff. Absolutely fantastic. You can wash the whole car with just two buckets of water. One you add two cap fulls of no rinse the other is just plain water. Wash one panel at a time and rinse your Mit in the plain water. Dry the panel straight away using I microfibre cloth. The one I've got is the size of a dog bed. Then move onto the next panel. Takes 20 mins and leaves a super shiny finish. Thumbs Up
