I was in the same boat Ben so i had it changed along with cam, aux belts and water pump just to be sure. Especially if you are going to keep it which after fitting a split charge kit i presume you are
O then my alternator went It may be a bob or two but you know its been done. When is it due for a cam belt change ?The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

I had mine changed with timing belts etc.
Casing was fine but there was a slight bit of roughness starting in the bearing.
But that was at 210,000 miles.

Thank's chaps
Just checked through my receipts and the timing belt was done in September 2010, meaning I've got until September this year
It had a new water pump fitted in April 2014 and I replaced the Aux belt and tensioner in May 2015 so hopefully they will be ok!
Is there any members that venture my way doing cam belts?!
Also what was the rough cost of your chaps cam belts and oil casings?
I'll add them to the list along with front arms and gearbox recon
Hi
I had mine done a couple of months back by the dealer. When I was proding and poking around beforehand I'm pretty sure once you had removed the top fan cowling you could see part of the top of the oil pump casing. I was thinking if you got one of those endoscope cameras you can get of the bay for a few quid an plug it into you smartphone you may well be able to see the part number stamped on the housing?
