this is weird ... I discovered today that if I hit the phone button on the dash twice it brings up a list of my recently dialed (or missed) calls I thinks .. then if I poke the >> buttons on the steering wheel it displays my phone's stored numbers and lets me scroll with the <<and>> buttons. I recently had a new phone module installed (about 3 weeks ago now) as my audio failed on it. My phone's a Nokia 6300 connected via bluetooth. Anyone else been able to do this? 42.25 feet of sheer luxury ...

Unfortunately my bluetooth unit is faulty and will not take the update - but my dealer has ordered a new unit under warranty and will do the upgrade as soon as they are able to get and fit the new unit. Zambezi Silver TDV6 HSE, Privacy glass, Side steps and Maxxraxx 5 Bike carrier.

so how long does it "actually " take...... A couple of mins to attached the computer , then leave for 50mins whilst engineer/monkey does something else, then a couple of mins to detach and pack away the computer. So about 4 mins in total !!!!! x appropriate rate. so what , about £7.33 of "actual" labour !!
I hope they dont try and charge a full 50 mins - thats obtaining monies by deception !!! Duncan

But remember they can't use that set of diagnostics equipment on another vehicle, so really there should a "diagnostic time" charge instead of labour...? +

Welcome to the madhouse bigboz. If it's warranty work, try and plead the "pls do this free as I've had so much grief, I need it FOC to restore my faith in humanity" or similar. Worked for me when I got my last D3 upgraded to sat nav entry on the move. They can only say no, bursting into tears at that might be a step too far! I enquired about this PTI upgrade, just to get an idea of cost to see whether it was worthwile doing and Scott at Lancasters has discovered that the TSB has been withdrawn apparently it doesn't work on pre- 07 MY cars. so the options are either to wait for the new patched version or buy a new current spec 'phone module.... no prizes for guessing what most of us will do I should imagine! 'resistance is futile!'
